Everyone knows that skunks really stink — a skunk can blast its foul-smelling defensive spray up to 10 feet! The spray will make a victim uncomfortable, but it is not known to cause any serious damage.
Do not attempt to capture skunks yourself! Keep children and pets at a safe distance whenever skunks are found, and call Advanced Wildlife Removal at 714.862.9687 for expert handling.
In California, the striped skunk is the the most common species found near residences. They are most active from dusk to dawn; however, they may sometimes be seen during the daytime. Skunks eat almost anything – including garbage, fruits and berries, insects, snakes, rodents, and vegetation.
Experienced skunks often return to familiar dens during breeding season; so, prompt attention to skunk infestations is critical. Skunks are often found below decks, porches and homes. They like to inhabit burrows that have been abandoned by other animals. Skunks may also hide in hollow logs, dense brush and below residential structures.
Call Advanced Wildlife Removal at 714.862.9687 for safe, humane skunk control. Eviction of skunks is usually completed within one (1) week.
To prevent further infestations, entry points will be sealed once we are positive that all skunks have been removed from your property.
Block skunks, not your valuable view!
One of the most effective skunk exclusion methods is our skunk fencing. Our skunk fences are custom-built with quarter-inch (1/4″) vinyl-coated steel hardware cloth. The skunk fence is secured with durable, weather-resistant materials, and is anchored by trenches up to 12-inches (12″) below ground. Skunks cannot climb over or dig below the barrier.
Advanced Wildlife Removal offers are 5-year warranty on all fences that we build – including maintenance visits every six (6) months. Maintenance is fast and cost-effective thanks to the sectional design of the barrier.
